Shift Schedule
- Night Shift (4x10 Hours): 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
- Night Shift (3x10 Hours): 8:00 PM – 6:30 AM
Requirements and Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of professional pharmacy experience
- Certified with BLS, PharmD, RPh and hold a valid Texas Pharmacy License (TX LIC)
- Charting experience required, preferably with Epic system
- Proficient in intravenous preparation including:
- Antibiotics
- Cad Cassette (required)
- Chemotherapy (required)
- Compounding
- Hyper alimentation (required)
- IV Piggyback and IV push medications
- Mixers for TPN
- Packaging Antineoplastic Agents (required)
- Pain Controlled Analgesia (required)
- Prepacking (required)
- Sterile Technique
- Dosing expertise in:
- Anticoagulation therapy (required)
- Cardiac dosing (required)
- Clinical dosing (required)
- Geriatric dosing (required)
- High-alert medications (required)
- Pediatric dosing
- Pharmacokinetic dosing
- Renal dosing
- Therapeutic medication monitoring
- Warfarin dosing (required)
- Pharmacotherapy management expertise for medical problems including:
- Bone and joint (required)
- Cardiovascular (required)

- Experience in the following work settings:
- Children’s hospital exposure
- Compounding Pharmacy (required)
- Inpatient / Acute care environments
- Familiarity with medication dispensing systems, specifically Pyxis
- Hospital experience with some exposure to pediatrics highly preferred
- No travel experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately, including complex intravenous formulations and chemotherapy under sterile conditions
- Manage dosing and therapeutic medication monitoring across various patient populations, ensuring compliance with safety standards for high-alert medications
- Provide expert pharmacotherapy management for a broad spectrum of medical conditions, collaborating closely with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Utilize electronic charting systems (Epic) for accurate documentation and medication reconciliation
- Maintain regulatory compliance and uphold best practices regarding compounding and packaging of antineoplastic agents and pain-controlled analgesics
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with evolving pharmacy practices and protocols
Qualifications
- PharmD degree with active RPh license in Texas
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently within fast-paced inpatient or acute care pharmacy settings
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proven record of maintaining sterile technique and handling high-risk medications safely
- Commitment to collaborative patient care and multidisciplinary teamwork
Compensation and Benefits
